Dear Little Sist-ah: This post is dedicated to you. Why? Because I love you. And I want to thank you for being the “big brother” that you are and watching over me and my oh-so-popular media page. I’m sorry that you cringe each time you look at my tots, but get use to the image. When I win, I’ll hang it up in your bedroom. Dear Friends, Co-workers, Family Friends and Random Strangers on the oh-so-popular media site: If I’ve offended any of you with the image that is currently circulating of me, I’m sorry, but delete me as a friend. Or wait until Monday to access my page because that’s when the contest will be over. Dear MBA: I kicked ass and took names. And am completely lost without you. So this is what freedom feels like…

Speaking of being finished with my degree, I got this little gem last night from a friend. I don’t know if they were hinting that my backpack isn’t a good work bag, but I think I do prefer this. And it’s made locally. You can find it here if you’d like to match me. It was the icing to: two delicious slices from ilove, multiple bottles of wine, snuggle time and The Office. I could get use to this.

As most of you know, I participated in a boudoir photo shoot this past August with a local, awesome photographer (you can read that post here). Well, she is wrapping up the year with a contest called the BEST OF BOUDOIR 2011. And I’m participating! Voting is simple: like the photograph (I’m pretty biased and say that would be mine) that you think is the most fabulous. Here is the link to my photograph directly: VOTE FOR MEEEEEEE! The winner gets a copy of the winning image blown up and framed for their personal use. Personally, I think my image is going to look fabulous in my little living room above where my fancy IKEA couch will soon be located. Cheers to hopeful thinking!

But in all seriousness, I have some tough competition and I need all of the support I can get. I’m leading by only fifty votes or so, so please spread the word and some love.

Also in seriousness, I by no means released this image to change the perspectives in which people portray me. I’m still the spunky, self-confident, fit woman I was a few days ago. I just had enough courage to share my awesome experience with others… and I hope other women decide to book a session. I’m not saying this because I love the photographer; I’m saying this because this session was something that came at those most perfect time in my life. No, this is not the most revealing photograph from the session. And no, I did not choose this image just because I knew it would get attention. I chose this photograph because I look at that image and love the reflection. And Mom– I know you haven’t seen it yet but be proud.

There are four more days of voting left; it closes at midnight on Sunday. As a forewarning, I’m going to keep posting and encouraging the votes; I know it can be annoying. But it will pay off! Next week I’m going to have a little holiday giveaway with a local shop! Why? Because no better time to give (and everyone loves to receive)! Details will surely follow the boudoir results on Monday.
