- frozen edamame
- frozen broccoli
- rainbow carrots
- aquaponic bibb lettuce
- white potatoes
- golden delicious apples
This was a heavy bag to carry home! The beau and I were both super excited to see items that we can juice during our reboot, and see other items that will last until the end of the month once we are chewing food again. Sounds funny, right? Chewing food.
Last night I made a big pot of soup that was not only dinner, but lunch for us both today. For this I used one of the onions, apples, and carrots. It came out super delicious and fresh tasting. Recipe to follow on Monday, of course.
The remaining carrots will be used during the reboot for juice, as will the apples and lettuce. Luckily, the potatoes, garlic, onions and cabbage will all stay fresh when stored properly and won’t be wasted. The frozen goods are in the freezer- the edamame with no future plans but the broccoli already accounted for. Pretty simple week in this tiny kitchen.
Tonight we will be making our second big trip to the market(s) to stock up for the next five days of the reboot. It took me a good 30 minutes of looking through the juice meal plan and making an accurate list of what to purchase. I found that the one that they give you is slightly off, and it was a little annoying to have to make multiple quick trips throughout the week pick up random vegetables. Hopefully this works better this time around.
